How to check who login Windows Server 2012 RD session

We have two Windows server 2012 servers without enabling RDS. We manage them using RDP. How can we see who login the server 2012 RD session?

RDS를 사용할수있도록 설정한 Windows server 2012 2대 있스니다. 누가 로그인했는지 정보를 확인하고 싶습니다.

Glad to see you here again.

From your description, you want to know how to see who login server 2012 RD session.

If I am misunderstanding, you could correct me.

You could see that via RDMS or Task Manager.

We could use Remote Desktop Service manager in server 2008R2 RDS to view information about users, sessions, and processes on Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) servers, and can also perform certain administrative tasks; for example, you can disconnect or log off users from their Remote Desktop Services sessions. However, like I mention to you before, the legacy Remote Desktop Service manager has been replaced by RDMS in server 2012 RDS. Here is the user interface on RDMS.

RDMS need to work in domain, if you open RDP session to server 2012 which works in workgroup, you could also see who login the server 2012 RD session via task manager. Here is a screenshot for you:

You could find that user “test” have process “RDP Clipboard Monitor”, it is a RDP session. The administrator who doesn’t have the process is a console session on the server 2012 RDS server. You could judge a RDP session by the process in the user’s session in Task Manger “Users” tab.

I hope the above information could be useful for you.
