Backup 0x807800C5

error code 0x807800C5 is received when attempting to do a Windows 8 Pro system back-up on to a Nas.

Based on my experience, the root cause could be various. In order to verify this issue, please try to perform the following steps firstly:

Step1. Perform clean boot, and uninstall anti-virus software service, such as Symantec Endpoint Protection AV Software.
As I know, many cases which were caused by the anti-virus. So please try to uninstall the anti-virus software, and make sure it is completely uninstalled in order to verify this issue.

Step2. Perform System File Check (SFC), and then check if this fixes the issue.
1. Press “Windows Key + Q” to open Charms Bar.
2. Type “cmd” without quotes in the search box.
3. On the left pane, right click on the “cmd” option and select “Run as Administrator”.
4. Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit enter.
Note: It may ask for windows installation DVD to fix and to enable SFC to make more than minor repairs. Some files saved on your computer might get deleted when fixing corrupted files.

After performing the steps, if this issue still exists, please help to collectthe following information for further research:
1. Please try to backup a sample folder to another partition and let me know the result.
2. Please capture some screenshots when you received any error message.
3. MPS report on the affect machine:

a. Download Microsoft Product Support Reports tool from the following Microsoft link, according to your system architecture.

b. Right-click on the downloaded mpsreports_x86.exe or mpsreports_x64.exe, and choose Run as Administrator.
c. Agree the License Agreement, and choose This Computer.
d. Select General, Server Components, and click Next.
e. After finishing collecting logs, please choose Save the result to save it to a .CAB file, and send the CAB file to the Workspace below.
